Yellow Phone Terms of Service

These Terms explain the rules that apply when you access or use Yellow Phone, including the mobile app, website, AI call-answering features, call summaries, alerts and related services.

Using Yellow Phone

Yellow Phone is designed for UK tradespeople and small trade businesses who want missed or forwarded calls answered by an AI receptionist. You are responsible for making sure the information you provide in the app is accurate, including your business name, trade, service areas, opening hours, FAQ answers and answer-mode settings.

You must use Yellow Phone lawfully and responsibly. You must not use the service to mislead callers, impersonate another business, handle emergency-service calls, process unlawful content, abuse telephony systems, or interfere with the security or operation of the app or service.

AI receptionist features

Yellow Phone can answer forwarded calls, ask questions, take caller details, create transcripts and summaries, identify possible urgency, answer common questions from your FAQ settings and send notifications to your phone. AI-generated content may not always be complete, accurate or suitable for every situation, so you should review call summaries and transcripts before relying on them for important decisions.

Subscription, fees and billing

Yellow Phone is offered as a paid subscription with a 7-day free trial. Tier and pricing are shown in the app at the point of purchase, and are billed via Apple or Google. By selecting a paid plan you agree to pay the applicable fees and any taxes or charges associated with the subscription. Each plan includes a monthly cap on bot answering minutes, shown in the app; once the cap is reached, the bot will take a brief voicemail until the next billing period or an upgrade.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Cancel anytime in your phone's subscription settings — your access continues until the end of the paid period. Yellow Phone may suspend paid features for failed or overdue payments.

Call forwarding, phone numbers and availability

Yellow Phone may provide or connect you with a phone number used to receive forwarded calls. You remain responsible for setting up and maintaining call forwarding on your own mobile network or device. Availability of forwarding, caller ID, notifications and call handling can depend on mobile networks, internet connectivity, app settings, device permissions, telephony providers and third-party platforms.

Caller information and consent

You are responsible for using Yellow Phone in a way that is appropriate for your business and your callers. This includes considering whether you need to tell callers that calls may be answered by an AI receptionist, recorded, transcribed or summarised, and making sure your use of the service complies with any laws or obligations that apply to your business.

Your content and business information

You keep ownership of the business information, FAQs, call details and similar content you provide or receive through Yellow Phone. You grant Yellow Phone permission to process that content as needed to provide, secure, support and improve the service. You must not provide content that infringes rights, is unlawful, harmful or misleading, or that you do not have permission to use.

Service changes and suspension

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue parts of Yellow Phone where needed to improve the product, maintain security, comply with legal requirements, manage third-party provider changes, or protect the service. We may suspend or restrict access if we believe there has been misuse, a security risk, failed payment, breach of these Terms, or unlawful activity.

Disclaimers and liability

Yellow Phone is provided to help manage calls and enquiries, but it does not guarantee that every call will be answered, every caller will provide complete information, every urgent job will be correctly detected, or every enquiry will become paid work. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yellow Phone is not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, missed opportunities, indirect losses or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Ending your use of Yellow Phone

You can stop using Yellow Phone at any time. Cancelling the app or deleting it from your device may not cancel your subscription; subscription cancellation must be completed through your Apple or Google subscription settings. After cancellation, access to paid features continues until the end of the paid period unless otherwise stated by Apple or Google.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date and version shown on this page. Continued use of Yellow Phone after an update means the updated Terms apply from the stated effective date.
