Information collected

Yellow Phone may collect personal information that users provide directly, including name, email address, phone number, business name, and account details needed to create and manage an account.

Yellow Phone may also collect caller information and call-related data when the service is used, including contact details provided during a call, call transcripts, job or enquiry details, and callback information entered or captured through the app.

The app may collect technical and mobile device information such as device type, operating system, app usage data, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens used to deliver app notifications.

How information is used

Yellow Phone may use collected information to provide and improve the service, answer and route calls, generate call summaries, send notifications, manage user accounts, and support customer service operations.

Call audio is processed in real time and is not retained after the call ends — only the transcript and summary are kept, and only on your account, to deliver the service, maintain records of customer interactions, and improve call handling performance.

Push tokens are used solely to send transactional or service-related push notifications, such as missed call alerts, new lead notifications, account updates, or service messages.

Contact information storage

Yellow Phone may store contact information for users and callers, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, and business details, where this is necessary to deliver the service and enable follow-up communications.

This information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the app, provide support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

How long we keep things

Call audioNot retained — discarded as soon as the call ends.
Call transcripts and AI summariesKept on your account while the account is active, so you can review past calls.
Caller contact details captured during a callKept on your account while the account is active, so you can follow up.
Account profileCompany name, trade, FAQs and voice settings are kept while the account is active.
Push tokensReplaced when the device re-registers and removed when the token becomes invalid or you delete the account.

When you delete your account from Settings, your customer record and all associated calls, transcripts, and contact details are permanently removed from our database. Backups are rotated on a rolling basis and overwritten in the normal course of operations.

Call recordings and transcripts

Yellow Phone generates a written transcript and AI summary of inbound calls so you can review what was said. Audio is processed in real time and not stored after the call ends.

Businesses using Yellow Phone are responsible for making any disclosures and obtaining any consent required under applicable laws before relying on transcribed call content.

Push notifications

Yellow Phone requests permission to send push notifications about urgent calls, missed calls, and account activity. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.

To deliver these notifications, Yellow Phone stores and processes a push token associated with your account or device.

Sharing of information

Yellow Phone shares information only with the service providers and infrastructure partners that help operate the app, subject to appropriate contractual safeguards. We never sell your data.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with fraud prevention, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
